HammockThe advent the hammock
came from native South Carolinian Joshua John Ward, a
riverboat captain whom trafficked rice and supplies with a
ferry between the vast rice plantations and nearby Georgetown
and Waverly Mills. Captain Josh found the lumpy, grass-filled
mattresses on his ferryboat too hot for the sultry coastal
summers, so he decided to design a soft, cool bed that would
serve his purpose. The result was a hammock so strong and
comfortable that its handmade design has endured for more than
a century unchanged and unchallenged.
Rope Hammock:
Rope hammock is the most classical and versatile hammock
available. Rope hammocks support the weight of the body very
well and offer that island hammock feeling. When buying a
hammock, cotton hammocks are the most comfortable and
polyester and DuraCord are the most durable. |

The cotton hammock is the most comfortable you can find on
the market. Cotton hammocks have a natural and very soft rope with a
light sand natural tone. High quality one hundred percent natural
cotton rope hammocks are the most comfortable and classical on the
market. The cotton used is soft, pure, and must pass a number of
quality tests before being twisted to triple ply rope. The process
begins with miles of soft yarns being formed into layers to create
the desired thickness for strength. Three layers are joined to
create the signature 3-ply rope. In the process, the layers are
balanced and twisted for superior strength and comfort.
A
Polyester hammock is made of polyester rope, which is weather
resistant and nearly as soft as cotton. Polyester hammocks are
bright white in color. Polyester rope is a soft spun man-made fiber
that is rot and mildew resistant. The polyester rope hammock is
recommended for tougher weather conditions or to leave outside all
the time. The soft spun polyester rope is as close to the comfort of
cotton as you can get among all man-made fibers. The process begins
with miles of soft yarns being formed into layers to create the
desired thickness for strength. Three layers are joined to create
the signature 3-ply rope. In the process, the layers are balanced
and twisted for superior strength and comfort.
A DuraCord
hammock achieves the best joint of rope hammock and polyester
hammock that is as soft as cotton but as durable as polyester.
DuraCord hammocks are constituted of synthetic fibers that are
designed to be soft to the touch while colorfast and strong enough.
With durability in the outdoors, DuraCord rope provides long lasting
comfort. DuraCord is woven of yarn that has ultra-violet (UV)
protection package to withstand 2,000 hours of UV exposure while
resisting the degrading effects of the sun and rain. DuraCord rope
also dries faster than standard cotton or polyester. DuraCord
extends the life span of the hammock, as its materials are designed
to resist mold or mildew.

or quilted hammock offers full-body comfort, performance in the
outdoors and the latest looks in fashion. Quilted hammocks are made
of padded fabric to give extra comfort to your hammock. The fabric

resistance, and long outdoor life. It is quilted using polyester
fiberfill batting for extra fast drying and padded comfort and the
best brass grommets for durability and look.
